Coming soon is a section dedicated to all of the volunteer, donation, and other mitzvah opportunities available in the community, and the world.
Something to get you started:
ADELANTE needs your help! The Santa Fe Public School ADELANTE Program is designed to support homeless students and their families, this year serving over 950 children and youth with food assistance, clothing, school supplies, tutoring, and advocacy. Every year ADELANTE is present at every school registration to not only sign people up for the program, but to protect the right of each child to have an education. Unfortunately, ADELANTE cannot complete this important task alone. Volunteers are necessary to advocate for each child and register students and families into the ADELANTE program.
Enclosed is a letter containing the dates and times of all the school registrations in the area. Please pass this letter onto any and all of your friends and volunteers who would be willing to spend a few hours this fall making a significant contribution to the life of a homeless child. Gaile Herling will hold a training on August 1 to teach volunteers the rights of a homeless student in the school environment. Volunteering can be from as little as two hours to as much as all day. Please, encourage your friends and volunteers to give as much time as they can to supporting this important process.
Thank you for your support and friendship!

Ari Rappaport is collecting used instruments for kids who can't afford them for his tzedakah project. If you have any used instruments lying around or know anyone who does, please help by bringing them to the temple. The Santa Fe Rotary Club is supporting the project. Ari will give them the instruments he receives and they will distribute them to the public schools as needed. Let us know the value of any instrument you send if you want to use it as a tax write off. The Rotary Club will send you a 501(c)(3) letter for tax purposes. Here is a list of instruments the Santa Fe public schools might need: Clarinets, Flutes, Trumpets, Trombones, Recorders and 1/2 or 3/4 size Guitars. If you have any of these, and would like to donate them, please drop them by the Temple office, along with your name and address.
Needed by Cool Closet: clothes steamer, working computer, clothes appropriate for office work and manual labor in good to excellent condition for youth 16-25 years of age, cleaning and office supplies. Call Sue Breslauer at 474-0922 if you can donate any of these items.
