Hi! As you can see, we have been busy with the TBS website. We have done a massive reorganization of content, redone the navigation, completely rebuilt the underlying engine and, obviously, replaced the visual design from top to bottom. Everything has been coded and designed for maximum accessibility, ease of use, standards compliance and W3C Validation.
We have also added some nifty features like community forums and user contributed links. There are new image galleries and congregation members can even write their own blogs! There will be more new features being added in the weeks to come, like recordings and sheet music of songs and prayers. And--in response to plenty of user complaints--all the news and information will be much more up to date.
There are still a couple of display issues--most notably in the image galleries--in Microsoft Explorer 6 for Windows. We are working in those, but you should not use IE6 anyway (mostly for security reasons); upgrade to IE7 or, better, Firefox.
If you register with the site, you will be able to see a few other things, but you will not be able to contribute anything. Once we have verified you as a congregant of TBS, you will be able to start a blog, start posting in the forums, create links and write comments.
If you are a temple member, and we already have your email address, you should have received or should receive soon an email with your login information. Do not register again!
We hope you enjoy this new site, and that you are excited to be an active part of making this a vibrant online community! Feel free to contact Ambrose--either with the contact form or in the forums--with thoughts or suggestions about features or changes you'd like to see. And, if you LIKE what you see, please don't be shy about expressing yourself!
Safari Rendering Bug
You'd think that, as an avid Mac user and advocate, I would have more thoroughly tested Safari. Anyway, a bug with the way the logo was presented in Safari was brought to my attention, and it has now been fixed.
