Temple Beth Shalom’s Religious School dedicates itself to the words of our Sages,
“The world stands on three things: Torah, avodah and gemilut Chasidim.”
—Talmud, Avot 1:2
These pursuits— study, worship, and deeds of loving kindness— provide the framework in which Jews build their relationships with God, with one another, and with the world.
It is our aim to nurture our youth through the teaching that each child brings a unique, irreplaceable piece to the fulfillment of the task of tikkun olam (repairing and transforming the world). We provide a loving, spirited atmosphere in which the joyful sounds of song and laughter abound.
We serve children from age 4 through 18.
Please call Simma Kinderlehrer at 982-6161 to register for the 2008-2009 school year.
The committee meets one evening a month. We need your voice!
A summer adventure on the beautiful grounds of TBS for ages 2-7. Contact the Preschool Office at 982-6888 for further information.
We encourage all of our families to attend our Sabbath morning services at 10:30. It is especially important to come and support our B'nai Mitzvot students. One day, hopefully, your child will commemorate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah at Temple Beth Shalom. If they have been attending Shabbat services through their religious school years, they will feel at home when it is their turn to stand on the bima and lead us.
Every Sunday from 10:00-10:30 grades pre k -6 gather for a prayer service of song and sharing with Simma and Aaron Wolf. All adults are welcome to join this joyful way to begin our Sunday Religious School.
We are selling snacks and offering homework supervision on Wednesdays (when Religious School is in session) from 3:30-4:25 in the Social Hall. Please have your children bring money if they want to purchase snacks.
