Get ready for a special treat! This Sunday at 4 pm, the Music of New Mexico concert will take place here in the Sanctuary. The concert is a benefit for TBS Education programs, and will feature Robert Mirabal and Maria Benitez’s Estampa Espanol. Tickets will be available at the door.
This Sunday on KSFR, 101.1, The Forum at KSFR will feature a discussion on Bush's recent middle-East trip. TBS congregant John Greenspan will be the moderator and the guests are William Stewart, Asenath Kepler, Greg Bemis and David Pollack.
Friday night services for the next 3 weeks, December 21, 28 and January 4, will begin at 5:30.
Yehudis called Marlene Schwalje to let us know that she is OK following a serious car accident on Wednesday eve. She was on her way to teach and was hit by a car speeding through a red light at 40 mph. She suffered numerous sprains and strains and 2 broken bones in her left leg, but is otherwise unharmed, as is the other driver. Please keep Yehudis in your prayers for healing and gratitude.
What do different faith traditions teach about forgiveness? What do they have in common and how do they differ? Find out when TBS Presents “An Interfaith Community Explores Forgiveness”, Thursday evening, December 6 at 7 pm. Rabbi Schwab, Reverend Ben Larzelere, Imam Azziz Eddebbarh, Buddist Vipassana Mary Powell and Monsignor Jerome will share their views on forgiveness at this event, which is part of the Sunflower Series.
Even though it’s Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday morning Torah Study and the Saturday Morning services will be held at their regular times.

TBS Monday Morning Minyan to meet the first Monday of November. Now that the new Mishkan T'filah Weekday Prayerbooks have arrived, Aaron Wolf is going to resume the Monday morning Minyan, beginning Monday, November 5, at 8 a.m. and then the first Monday of each month. Please come and experience this wonderful new text, and start the week off right.

Lutherfest is this Saturday, October 27. Please join us at Christ Lutheran Church for their main fundraising event. After all they do for us each year at Yom Kippur, it would be nice to return a bit of the favor.
October will be a busy month at TBS. October 26 to 28 is the weekend for “Creating a Culture of Shalom: A Training in Non-Violence” here at TBS. Space is limited; if you intend to sign up, you should do so soon. And don’t forget Mitzvah Day this Sunday, October 21.

Fridays in the month of July Rabbi Ben will continue his series of lectures on the topic, "Can God be Discovered Through the Exercise of Reason and the Pursuit of the Ethical Life?" All services will begin at 7:30. There will be no Family Service on or August 3.
Shabbat morning Torah Study, bagels, lox and coffee continues to meet Saturday mornings from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the Social Hall. Alan Brody will lead the discussion this week.
