You are not required to complete the work, but neither may you refrain from it.

Volunteering--what a luxury! How amazing to be able to GIVE your time and talent away. And this privilege is not reserved for the rich or the retired. Anybody can play!
If you have even a little spare time, the possibilities are endless. Our committees are always in need of “a few good men…and women”. Take a good look at our committee list and see where your talents would be the best “fit.” From Social Action to Campus Planning, there is room for everyone.
ONEGS MADE EASY, REALLY!
Friday evening Shabbat services are a special time for our congregation and our onegs, our Shabbat delights, are a very special way of participating in the Temple Beth Shalom community. We strongly encourage all of our members to take part in providing at least part of one oneg each year. You can do this by supporting an oneg financially, making one from scratch, coordinating an oneg with friends, or by joining our oneg committee. You can choose a birthday or anniversary, a special yahrzeit, or just a time that feels right. It is a gratifying experience and the reward always exceeds the effort. For detailed information or to set a date, please call Aimee in the Temple office.
WHAT'S YOUR MITZVAH SCORE?
Do you have time to help? The TBS Mitzvah Corps offers the added benefit of getting a little closer to heaven through performing mitzvot in your daily life! For many of us without family in the area, the Mitzvah Corps fills a much-needed gap -- not charity but community, something we all depend upon in times of need. Participation in Temple Beth Shalom's Mitzvah Corps can raise your Mitzvah score. Contact the Temple office for more information: (505)982-1376.
JEWISH FREE LOAN
A wise man once said, "If you can solve it with money, it's not important." But sometimes it doesn't seem that way. When money is the only thing that can help, The Preston Kline Jewish Interest Free Loan strives to be of assistance. We encourage those who need help to ask for it while asking those who have more than enough to contribute. Please keep in mind that this is, indeed, a loan. The free part refers to the absence of interest payments. Call the office for information.
CUT TO SUIT, BEAT TO FIT, PAINT TO MATCH!
The motto of our House and Grounds Committee!
Whether you are a big time do-it-yourselfer, a licensed contractor, or just handy with a hammer, Temple Beth Shalom needs your help. We want our congregants to regard us as their Jewish home and, like all homes, ours requires constant attention. Working to keep our physical plant safe and beautiful is one of the most rewarding things you can do for our community. Doing it for our Jewish family is a true mitzvah. Like the Temple's traditional Mitzvah Corps, which brings meals and aid to those in need, we need a resource to call upon. Your skills and your time are our future. Contact Dorothea Migliori to volunteer.
