On March 19, Scholar-in-Residence Rabbi Sarah Wolf will leave sunny California to return to Santa Fe and the TBS pulpit. At Erev Shabbat services at 7:30, Rabbi Sarah will share her research and thoughts on the concept of tikkun olam, from its inception to modern times. She will also lead Saturday morning Torah Study and you might even find her joining her father, Aaron Wolf, at the morning Shabbat service. You won’t want to miss welcoming Sarah and wishing her well at Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos Hills, CA, where she has just signed a three-year contract as Assistant Rabbi. Mazel tov!
Passover is almost on our doorstop. The first seder will be on Monday, March 29, and our Community Seder will take place the following day. Be sure to call the office to reserve your spot at this fun event led by Rabbi Schwab. Rabbi Schwab will also be teaching "How to Run a Seder" on Saturday, March 14 at 10:30. Once again, TBS will also be hosting a Women's Seder on April 6. Call Sue Breslauer or the Temple office if you would like to attend.
Leah Gibbons, director of our Preschool, wants to let you know that our preschool is now enrolling for next year. Remember: members have priority in registration.
Many of you may not know that TBS offers assistance to those in need through its Jewish interest-free loan program. In recent weeks, demand has seriously depleted the fund’s resources. We hope you will consider making a donation to this mostly self-renewing resource. It’s a great way to have your contribution do good over and over again.
Hunger is an ongoing problem in Santa Fe and we hope you are using your big blue “Hunger has no Holiday” bag to keep our yellow Food Depot bin full. If you need another bag, just give the office a call.
And, finally, if you are interested in purchasing anything from our gift shop, ask for Peter Merrill after services. If he is present, and he usually is, he will be happy to help you.
