Grades 8 - 12
The Hochberg Academy at TBS helps students explore their identities as contemporary Reform Jewish teens, and encourages them to take their rightful roles as active adult members of the Jewish community. The Hochberg Academy assists students in developing a strong foundation of Jewish ethics, knowledge, and spirituality, to support them as they confront the many challenges of college life and adulthood.
Thanks to a generous grant from Stephen and Jane Hochberg, TBS teens have the opportunity to engage in sophisticated Jewish learning while also participating fully in our vibrant BSTY youth group.

Beth Shalom Temple Youth (BSTY) is one of 14 youth groups in the NFTY-SW (North American Federation of Temple Youth, Southwest) region. NFTY-SW is the Youth division of the Reform Movement.
BSTY meets on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30pm as part of the Hochberg Academy, and we always have a snack. Programming is developed by the student members of the BSTY board under the supervision of Ellen Zieselman, TBS Youth Director.
BSTY is open to ALL Jewish high school students in northern New Mexico, regardless of whether they are members of the temple or have ever attended religious school. Anyone who would like
